For applications that require durability, scrubbability and chemical resistance, Bayer MaterialScience LLC offers high durability (HD) two-component waterborne polyurethane coating technology. According to the company, these coatings perform with the expected durability, scrubbability and chemical resistance of industrial coatings, while also fulfilling additional architectural coating requirements of color retention, low VOCs and odor, low sheen and a fast return-to-service time.

As the advantages of utilizing HD two-component waterborne polyurethane technology for the architectural market become more well known, the company says, these coatings continue to migrate beyond their initial use in healthcare settings into a broader range of buildings, such as those in hospitality, higher education, government and resorts/sports venues.
